It is a difficult choice to fly less when your extended family lives on the opposite of the globe, but over the past 15 years I have chosen to fly less frequently to visit family. For the few family functions I have attended, I have gone on my own rather than bring my husband and children. I do not travel for work as the benefits are less than they were in the past. There are opportunities to ‘interact’ online, rather than in person.
