I’ve cut back, 60%, in the past 3 years. I live in Seattle. Every person I meet/know is flying quite often, quite constantly around the globe. “How are you? Any plans?” It’s code for where have you been, where are you going? Every room I enter, the conversation is about travel.

I went to Al Gore’s Climate Reality training because I know what is happening and I need tools to make people understand the impacts of plane travel. When people ask what my plans are I say to any and all that I am staying home, working to make my community strong, preparing for climate refugees.
