How can I continue to fly when I believe we all have to change our way of life with the utmost urgency? That means me. I still fly to see my mother once a year. Other than that, I’m reducing it to zero.
I’m an ecopsychologist and academic, engaged in thinking, writing, and speaking about the ethics of living in the Anthropocene. I have spoken about the Western ego and its psychological defences against facing climate catastrophe. I have a private psychotherapy practice in the SF Bay Area, and am on the core faculty of the California Institute of Integral Studies.
