From 2005-2013 I did not fly for work purposes. I then had some opportunities for travel — some international advisory work and some conferences — but I have not flown since 2017. I have tried to pivot my work and my efforts (in terms of collaboration) to areas which do not require flying.

I am a professor of public policy research at Sheffield Hallam University. I have led research projects for UK and EU funders, mainly working for government departments and charities. My research explores the impact of policies on disadvantaged areas and groups.
