Researching climate policy, I became more and more aware of the fact that even people who are very well informed about climate change, and its causes and consequences, do not change their lifestyle towards more sustainability. At the same time, we know that integral behavior can often have more impact on others’ behavior than more detailed knowledge or convincing speeches.
That’s why I decided that I don’t want to fly any more – neither for work nor in my leisure time. Especially when wanting to attend international conferences this can sometimes be hard, but so far it’s worked quite well for me.
I am a PhD student in Political Science at the University of Tübingen, Germany. My research focus is transnational municipal networks in climate policies. I am especially focusing on the knowledge these networks produce and provide.
