In the oil, gas and energy sector, flying is almost accepted as a responsibility. However, with the raised awareness of GHG emissions and strong support from oil companies in the fight of global warming we are entering into a new era of engagement. Together with the effects of COVID travel restrictions and technological advancements, we are able to perform our duties remotely with greater acceptance from our clients.
Working within the oil, gas and energy business for the last 17 years and busy with my MBA dissertation on carbon footprint in mobile offshore drilling units. I am sure the awareness of this subject is perhaps the toughest industry for GHG emissions. Together with organisations such as Earth Scientists, I would like to continue this influence within my industry.
