In 2012, when I was 19 years old, my parents asked my sister and me if we wanted to join them for holidays. I had never been outside of Europe at the age of 19, which is quiet rare in my society. I said that I will just join them if we go outside of Europe. They agreed, and we went to Tanzania.

Since then I was flying at least once a year, just for traveling. In 2017, when I was visiting my sister in Ecuador, I decided not to fly again for the sake of climate change. Exactly during this time, I received a letter from my university that we would travel to Japan for a project. As a designer I am very inspired by Japanese design; I was able to stay 10 days in Japan almost for free ,and I thought that it would push my career if I had a project with a Japanese company. It sounds much better having a collaboration with a Japanese company than having a collaboration with a company from my country; it makes you more unique and interesting. So I decided to go.

In the summer of 2018 I decided not to fly any more, at least for seven years. Since then I am clean :).
