I stopped flying, with two exceptions, in 2000. Before then I flew primarily to visit my mother, who was ill. I have not been near an airport in 9 years and I’m fine. I’ve alienated a few frequent-flier friends by nagging. I have no children. I care about the planet and the animals who are suffering in extreme climate events. I have done everything I can to minimize my carbon footprint.
