Why fly to attend conferences or seminars when you learn more from reading the one paper worth reading (out of approximately 50) afterwards? Literature studies do not really require much travel, nevertheless people like me seem to be really keen on travelling as far and as often as possible.

Staying at home is really no sacrifice. Only a good opportunity to write something brilliant.

I work within Comparative Literature and Book History, mostly in the period 1500–1900.
