No more in-person scientific conferences for me; the pandemic has shown that this can be accomplished by video conference. Trying hard not to fly (one flight in the last three years, after driving ~1K miles to deliver a Tesla). The extra time it takes to drive or take a train to distant locations to visit family and other near-essential travel, and the CO2 footprint from driving alone (2016, Tesla Model S), presents a generally unsolved quandary.
