Until a few years ago, I was a regular flyer. Somebody recommended the book Timeless Simplicity, which was very much in synchronicity with some of my inner beliefs. I had a look at my carbon footprint and transportation stood out as the most important part of a footprint that would need five Earths instead of one.

I started to reduce flying and driving, using public transport, cycling, or walking instead. I geared up my political engagement and became a member of the local branch of the Stay Grounded Network.
