Not that easy not to fly in this job, but I mainly travel within Europe by train or cars. I only fly for long trips (> 5,000 km) and max once a year. Clearly, the cost of kerosene is too low compared to any other mean because you don’t save that much time with all the formalities and custom check.

This year I’ve seen more and more remote conferences and sample-shipping that are efficient alternatives.

I am a plant ecophysiologist working on the effect of freezing temperature on plants. I enjoy sampling using skis or hiking shoes.
