I gave up flying around 2004 because of the environmental impact. I don’t shout about it, but often feel that I should. I had only really used planes as a way to get to holiday destinations, but have since cycled, or got the train or boat to Europe. I have spent more time discovering my own country, which has to be better for local economies than flying on a package tour.
