I pledge to not fly for work or holidays. I am very happy to find this website as it will strengthen my argument when I tell this to my supervisor!

In September I will make a 48-hour round trip by train to attend a conference in Poland. So it’s completely possible.

There is evidence to suggest that flying to conferences far away does little to boost your career or research impact long term.
