I fly less for personal and professional reasons since a few years now. I’ve taken train trips across Western Europe (Germany, England, Spain, Switzerland) and limit my long trips (across the Atlantic, i.e.) to once every three years.

For now, it has not limited my science. I also encourage younger researchers (PhD, post-docs) to do so. But only suggestive.

Trained as a physicist, I study neuroscience using a combination of experimental and theoretical methods. I’m currently investigating the neuronal dynamics underlying motor learning, relying on songbirds as an animal model.
