I have been growingly concerned and alarmed about climate crisis during my adult life, and felt uneasy about flying to academic conferences. The burden on the only planet we have is just too heavy to justify such travel. Thus, I plan to cut all but absolutely necessary flights in the future, and do my part in pushing for remote or hybrid events whenever possible.
