Since retiring, my flying is essentially restricted to two trips a year to visit daughter and family. Have considered offsets before and will again. Shocked by my friends, all knowledgeable about climate change, who have not changed their behavior regarding unnecessary air travel. And almost all have grandchildren. Go figure.
Gave lectures to lay audiences on climate change as a Climate Reality Project trainee. Texting for the Environmental Voter Project. Attend demonstrations, have my legislators on speed dial, and have done almost everything at home (vegetarian, recycle, conserve, wind energy, Prius, etc.).
