Attending conferences is good for networking, but it is not the only way. It maybe essential if I want to become a celebrity scientist.
Publishing my works in written articles in scientific journals is more rewarding than presenting them in conferences. Attending conferences doesn’t count for my career advancement. If people still thinks so, please make a quantitative calculation toward your promotion criteria.
Dr. Hermawan’s research interests revolve around biomaterials, corrosion, and metallurgy. He serves the scientific community as editorial board member for Scientific Reports and Journal of Orthopaedic Translation.
