During the last seventeen years, while chairing the Environmental Studies Program and the Anthropology Department, I asked colleagues to present my podium papers in conferences or sent video clips instead. It works well, it’s doable, it broadens the opportunities for your participation if you can’t make it to that important conference for some reason, and it helps reduce the personal carbon footprint.

It also offers some departmental and university budget savings that can support other important, unforeseen tasks.

My research focuses on the saga of the human condition on planet Earth, through archaeological anthropology and skeletal studies; socio-cultural developmental and organizational capacities; and human ecology since the terminal Pleistocene (Epipalaeolithic period) through the duration of the Holocene epochs.
